Specialist parts cleaning, done properly
Black Diamond Garage is a small workshop in Oldham, focused on getting car and motorcycle parts cleaner than dry blasting can manage, without the heat damage or pitting. Every job is hand-loaded, hand-finished and returned ready to assemble or paint.
What we do
We run a vapour blast cabinet, a soda blast station and a heated ultrasonic tank. Between them we cover the realistic range of parts a restorer or workshop will want cleaned: alloy engine cases, cylinder heads, carburettors, brake calipers, wheels, motorcycle frames, intake manifolds and the bits and pieces in between.
Vapour blasting (sometimes called wet blasting or aqua blasting) suspends a fine glass-bead media in water. The water cushions the blast so it lifts oxidation, grime and discolouration off alloy without pitting or trapping media in oilways. The finish is a uniform, slightly satin tone that's ready for assembly, paint or powder coat with no further prep needed.
How a job works
Send us a quote request with a description of what you've got. Photos help but aren't essential. We'll come back with a fixed price, usually within one working day.
Drop the parts off at the workshop or post them in. Once they arrive we'll let you know, complete the work (typically 5 to 10 working days) and invoice when the job is done. Local pickup and drop-off can be arranged for larger jobs in the Oldham area.
